This week will bring our first full week of school and practice, and to finish off, a meet on Saturday. Here is the schedule for this week:

Monday:

• A Day - Practice after school 1:30

Tuesday:

• B Day - Morning Practice @ Orem 5:45 AM (Done by 6:25)
• B Day - Class 1:05 (Not in class ASAP after School)

Wed:

• A Day - Morning Practice @ Orem 5:45 AM (Done by 6:25)
• A Day - Practice After School 2:30 PM

Thur:

• B Day - Morning Practice @ Orem 5:45 AM (Done by 6:25)
• B Day - Class 1:05 (Not in class ASAP after School)

Friday:

• A Day - Practice After School 2:30 PM

Saturday:

• UTAH COUNTY INVITE @ Vinyard Soccer Comples (West on 800 South Orem Youth soccer complex)
• 8:00 Packet Pick up
  9:00 Freshman / Sophomore Girls
  9:30 Freshman / Sophomore Boys
  10:00 Junior / Senior Girls
  10:20 Junior / Senior Boys (Race 1)
  10:40 Junior / Senior Boys (Race 2 if Necessary)
• Course: The course is a true 5k (measured and re-measured), 90% grass with some concrete. It is very spectator friendly.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the top ten finishers in each race.
• A trophy will be given to the top men’s and women’s team

Team congratulations on a great meet!

• Boys finish 7th (Beating 2011 Orem Boys by 2 seconds)
• Girls Finish 3rd (6th Best Time ever for Girls)
• Summer Harper Breaks the course record 11:36.0 New Course time

American Fork Grass Relays

Here is the information for our Race this Saturday Aug 27th, 2011

Bus will meet in front of Orem High. Please plan on riding the bus. The Bus will leave at 7:00 AM.

Team, with school arriving this week, we will be moving practice Monday to 2:30. We will still meet at Orem. See you there!

Important updates

Team, a few key items to know over next two weeks.

1. Team time trial Friday 10th. I am looking for some parents to help transport kids up to south fork that morning. We will meet at Orem and carpool up.

2. We had Provo river 1/2 on the schedule but will not be participating this year.

3. Uniforms will be handed out next week, please ensure all paper work (tryout checklist, parent permission medical form b or if no physical on file form a with dr physical included) is turned in.

4. Thursday 16th is our first meet of the year. we will meet at Orem 4:30 and take a team bus to kiwanis park in Provo. Girls will race at 6:30, boys at 7 pm. We will be doing a parent meeting after the boys race. Please make every effort to attend. We are also looking to do team photos on Thursday, working on time. Will let you know.

5. We will be doing the hobble creek water stops on saturday the 18th and will Need as much support as possible. Team, family and friends are always great and its a fun event to help with. (more details will be posted soon.If anyone has a trailor we can use that morning please let me know.

Tryout Checklist / Physical Form on File

Team, I will be collecting the required tryout checklist this week at practice. Please take a look under "Required Forms" at the top left of the blog to print off your tryout checklist and also the Form B (If you have a physical on file already).

I will need both of these forms filled out this week so that you can participate in Pre Region and on the team going forward.

Don't forget, we will be meeting at Orem High 7:15 every morning (Mon - Friday) from here on out.
