Our team is excited about state this week. Here are the details for tomorrow (Wed) schedule.

Varsity will be checked out at 10 AM and the rest of the team will be checked out at 10:45.

When: Depart – Depart from Orem High School at 7:30 A.M. Friday    September 26th. Return - Saturday September 27th at approximately 10:00 PM.

Cost:  $70.00 per athlete (Paid to the Finance

office). This will cover your Hotel expense and your transportation. (We fundraised $800 to bring the total trip fees down this summer, but the Transportation fee went up significantly this year). In addition, you will need to bring money for food and any other essentials you may need. (Lunch and Dinner Friday, Lunch and Dinner Saturday) Breakfast is included with the Hotel.

This is a great opportunity for you as an athlete to travel to a

top rated cross country meet. My expectation is that you come prepared to race, and perform at the highest level. As in the past this is a great experience and a chance for each of you to represent Orem High School, your team, city, and family.

I would like everyone that can participate, to participate. Please

work with me if there is a money issue, or any other concern.

Race Course: The start of the BYU course is on the grass warm-up field to the north of the track, the finish is on the track in front of the main grandstand. The course also includes the outfield of the baseball field of Miller Park and the grass corridor between the track and Miller Park.  Each loop is approximately one mile. The surface is all grass and track, with 70 - 80% of the course on grass.  All pathways near the baseball field are covered so that competitors can wear spikes.  The finish of the races will be at the main finish line in front of the grandstand.  The features of the complex include: seating for 3000+ spectators with a view of 70% of the course, the scoreboard, sound system, full bathrooms and concessions.

Coaches, we have moved our event to Rock Canyon Park due to facility conflicts with Kiwanis Park.  The course will start in the park, climb up to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and eventually return to the park and finish. The new course will include grass, dirt / trail and some cement / pavement.

Hello Everyone, This has been a tough year for scheduling. But I feel like we finally have a great season race schedule.

Here are the changes:

1. Friday September 5th - Murray has been canceled so we will be participating in the Bulldog Invitational at Rock Canyon Park in Provo. Start time is 4:30 PM 
2. Sat Sept 20th The Viking Invite @ PG high school opened up and we will be racing that Saturday. 9:00 AM start time. 

That will give us 6 Invite Races, Pre Region, and Region, as well as the state championships!

Please update your Calendar and print off our revised Schedule.

Updated 2014 team schedule

We have added the Wasatch invitational in Aug 23rd too our season schedule. It will be the first Saturday of the first week of school. Please update your calendar.

Summer running

We will continue to meet at Foothill Elementary every Monday - Friday at 7:15 am.

We are trying to finalize the list of athletes that are participating at our cross country camp the 28th - aug 1st.

Please email me if you are planning on coming asap. If you haven't received the information I would be happy to email you the information. You can pay for camp at the school or using mystudentfees.com. unless you have made arrangements with me, We would like you to pay for camp by next Friday the 25th.

Also, please quickly work on your team paper work including physical, and the state registration info.

Week of July 7th moratorium week

Team, just a reminder that this week we week not have practice. However each of you should continue to run each day.

A group will go up from 45 to 60 minutes
B group 35 - 50 minutes
C group 25 - 40 minutes

I also need you to return your paperwork by next Monday at practice, so please work on that. I Specifically need to know if you are planning on coming to camp asap. Please email or text me ask that we can make plans and get a correct headcount.

Cross country practice MOVE

Starting tomorrow we will meet at the park behind Foothill elementary school. 7:15; see you all there for morning practice, week 2!

Summer Cross Country -

Hello All,


Here is the information you will need for Summer cross country.


We will be doing a parent meeting Thursday 12th at 6:00 PM for everyone planning on running Cross Country this year. We will go over the new Student athlete registration site, Schedule, fees for the year, etc.


We are coming off of a very good season including the Boys winning the 4A state championships.


We will meet at Orem High School in the little theater. This is a great opportunity for you to come and meet the coaches as well as ask and get answers to many of the questions you may have.


Athletes, I encourage you to reach out and recruit as many people as you can to come and learn about it.


I encourage all planning on running to begin to run the week of June 8th, at least 3-4 times this week. This will help prepare you for Summer practice which will kick off as a team Monday June 16th.

4/16 quad meet Timpanogos High school

Hello, we will be having our quad meet at Timpanogos high school Wednesday April 16th. Plan on meeting at high school at 3:30 p.m. We look forward to having everyone participating at this meet along with our quad meet at Orem high next Wednesday.

We will also have you talked to county invite this weekend on Friday and Saturday starting at 3:30 pm on Friday and 9 a.m. On Saturday. We will post the list this week of all invited runner's.

Work are excited for the second half of the season and we are looking forward to a successful run at a Region and State championship!
